I'm a Linux enthusiast! Linux is an operating system, quite like MacOS or Windows. It's a piece of free and open source software which, from a practical level, means that it doesn't take a lot of personal data and send it to some large company to make money off me - that's exactly what Microsoft does with Windows. Linux keeps my privacy, but the real reason I love it is the customisation - I can make my computer feel and do exactly what what I want! I can use Linux almost exclusively with just my keyboard - making me more productive for all the 'work' I do >:)
Fuelled by my love of computers, and the lockdown causing computers to play an even greater role in our day to day lives, I learned how to touch type. Since then, my words per minute went from a sustained 45 to now a sustained 155. I still spend a little too much time on typing websites, but the clicks of the keyboard are just too satisfying. My favourites are monkeytype and Keymash.
[eating] food has always been my passion, so I decided to make some! Baking is where my biggest interest lies, but I also do some savoury dishes. The look on someone's face as they are served your dish is a gratifying experience. The science, history, and culture is preserved in every dish we make, and understanding it just makes me want to cook it more!
Ahhhh the pressure, the intensity is why I love competitive programming so much! Competitive programming is writing code in a contest to solve some artificial problems - it's typically a mix of maths, but mainly logic. I love the stress whilst I'm writing code and having to rack my brain for something useful. My language of choice is Python (though I should probably learn C++ at some point!).
I follow as much news related to tech as I have time for! I love the hardware, the software, smartphones, laptops, headphones - everything! It's fascinating how these products are created and marketed, and that's why I love tech so much. It's the foundation of society, and understanding it is key as humanity progresses further into the digital realm.
Need I say anything more?
